Broken Bridges - The heartache and drama of country music colors the story of Angela Delton, a Miami newscaster who brings her rebel teen daughter Dixie home to rural Armour Springs , Tennessee after a military training accident tragically takes the lives of several town resides, including Angela's younger brother. Back in Armour Springs, Angela reunites with country star Bo Porterr, the father that Dixie has never met. Bo's heart and talent helps troubled Dixie, while Bo and Angela reconcile their bittersweet past. The film is suffused with organic moments of country music performance. Directed by Steven Goldmann. Honky Tonk Angels – A tale of four country-singer sisters and the men who derail them, this play, written by Cherie in the early 1990s, featured songs by country music superstar Garth Brooks. It was produced in New York City, Boston, and Charlotte (NC), before being sold to TriStar Pictures.
Sex and Rage in a SoHo Loft – What happens when a thirty-year-old woman gets really, really pissed off about married men who pretend that they’re single? She picks one up, brings him home, and makes his life really, really interesting. Produced in Nashville on a double bill with Harvey Fierstein’s Safe Sex, Dallas, and Columbia (SC), it has been a winner of a number of one-act festivals.
Act Three – Two woman in their late 60s, best friends from youth but estranged in recent years, come together again in contemporary Miami Beach. In development; recent readings at the Coronet Theatre (Los Angeles) and under the auspices of the National Center for Jewish Cultural Arts (Miami).
